Sobriety Commitment
French Tech commits to sobriety and the energy transition
This initiative focuses on promoting sustainable, environmentally-friendly practices within start-ups, such as reducing carbon footprints, managing resources responsibly, raising awareness of the circular economy, using renewable energy, and much more.
The first signatories of the Sobriety Commitment
The signatories of the Sobriété Commitment are listed on the website of the French Ministry of the Economy, Finance and Industrial and Digital Sovereignty.
Among them, several players in the French Tech ecosystem have already publicly confirmed their commitment: start-ups from Mission French Tech programmes, Capitales French Tech, associations, investment funds, etc. are all working to promote sobriety and the energy transition.
Mission French Tech strengthens its commitment and actions in favour of the ecological transition
In addition to the Sobriety Commitment, the Mission French Tech is working towards a widespread commitment within the ecosystem at several levels:
-
A request for a commitment from the winners of the French Tech Next 40/120 programme to carry out a carbon assessment (scope 1, 2 and 3) by 2023.
-
A focus on GreenTech start-ups through the French Tech 2030 programme, with 38% of the winners in the first class of 2023 being GreenTech companies.
-
The introduction in 2022 of an ecological transition component in the Community Fund to finance initiatives led by the network of French Tech Capitals and Communities.
