Press release : French Tech heads to Japan and South Korea

Rencontres d’affaires

As part of the President of the Republic’s official visit to Japan and South Korea beginning Tuesday, March 31, Julie Huguet, Director of the French Tech Mission, will lead a delegation of French start-ups.

In 2026, French Tech is accelerating its global expansion. The mission is clear: forge industrial and commercial partnerships and establish a strong foothold in key technology markets.

Japan and South Korea are among the world’s most technologically advanced markets. Currently, 18% of French Tech Next40/120 companies are already active in Japan, while nearly one-third of French Tech 2030 start-ups identify South Korea as a strategic priority.

Approximately ten start-ups and scale-ups will be at the forefront of this delegation, including:

  • Aniah – designs integrated circuit verification software for the microelectronics industry

  • Glimps – protecting critical systems against cyber threats

  • Quandela – developing photon-based quantum computers

  • Qubit Pharmaceuticals – accelerating drug discovery through quantum computing

  • Wandercraft – deploys industrial and medical humanoid robots

  • Energy Pool – managing large-scale energy flexibility

  • Exotec – revolutionizing logistics with autonomous robots

  • EcoVadis – assessing corporate CSR performance globally

  • Filigran – anticipating cyberattacks through simulation solutions

  • Verkor – producing low-carbon batteries for European industry

Additional French companies participating in the visit include Look Up Space, Quobly, Innovafeed, Miratlas, Unseenlabs, Contentsquare, and Metron.

The program will feature business meetings, economic forums, and engagements with local ecosystems, coordinated with Business France, Team France Export, and MEDEF International.

Key speeches and announcements are expected throughout the visit. Interview opportunities will be available with Julie Huguet and selected delegation companies.
