French Tech Community Fund

The French Tech Community Fund is a financing tool for French Tech Communities, aimed at supporting initiatives in line with Mission French Tech's strategic priorities, notably the promotion and development of the French Tech ecosystem.

The French Tech Community Fund 2024-2025 is a call for projects that provides 1.5 million euros in support for initiatives led by French Tech Communities over the period from 2024 to 2025.

How the Community Fund Works

Launched in 2019 by Mission French Tech, the French Tech Community Fund 2024-2025 is funded by the French government to the tune of €1.5 million.

By providing financial support for initiatives led by French Tech Community-labeled associations, in close contact with entrepreneurs and their needs, the French Tech Community Fund contributes fully to the development of French start-ups, throughout France and internationally.

The 2 Components of the French Tech Community Fund 2024-2025

For this 6th edition, the French Tech Community Fund has 2 components:

  • A national component to support the projects of French Tech Communities in France

  • An international component to support French Tech communities’ international projects

Objectives of each component of the Community Fund 2024-2025

Four priority objectives have been selected this year for the French Tech Community Fund of French Tech Communities in France:

  • Strengthening parity and diversity in the French Tech ecosystem;
  • Supporting the ecosystem in the ecological transition;
  • Supporting start-ups’ access to public and private markets (Je Choisis la French Tech);
  • Supporting Hexagone’s French Tech Communities in highlighting a key tech sector for the development of its territory.

Four priority objectives have been set this year for the Community Fund of international Communities:

  • Promoting the French Deeptech and Greentech ecosystem;
  • Attracting international talent and investment funds;
  • Connecting French Tech start-ups with major corporations;
    Promoting French Tech’s commitment to gender equality and diversity.

Selection criteria for the 2024-2025 winners

To be selected, projects had to :

  • Be in line with the previously stated strategic objectives of Mission French Tech.

  • Have a strong impact on the entire ecosystem, and on French start-ups in particular

  • Be carried out over a maximum period of one year for the two components – national and international – (from 1 September 2024 to the summer of 2025)
