Je choisis la French Tech
The “Je choisis la French Tech” (I choose French Tech) programme, run by Mission French Tech, has more than 600 signatory companies and more than 90 committed institutional players. 1 billion euros mobilised by 10 major groups for French start-ups and scale-ups between 2024 and 2026.
Description of the programme
The “Je choisis la French Tech” programme aims to increase the use of French start-up technologies by the private and public sectors, with a dual objective:
-
répondre aux besoins de transformation numérique, technologique et écologique des acteurs publics et privés ;
-
augmenter les revenus des start-up pour renforcer leur impact et leur résilience.
This ambition is reflected in a quantified target – to double the amount of public and private sector purchases from start-ups by 2027 – and a method that aims to intervene at every stage of the “purchasing chain”: commercial meetings tailored to the needs of public and private buyers, training, promotion of the players involved and the innovative solutions of start-ups, etc
Almost two years after its launch, more than 600 companies have already chosen French Tech! Among them, 10 major French groups have pledged €1 billion to purchase solutions from French Tech start-ups and scale-ups between 2024 and 2026: ADP, AXA, BPCE, Capgemini, CMA CGM, EDF, Française des Jeux, Orange, Sopra Steria and SNCF.
More than 90 partners (public bodies, professional federations and associations) are also working together to roll out the programme and create more opportunities for start-ups and public and private sector buyers to meet throughout France.
Service offering
To achieve the initiative’s objective, Mission French Tech is taking very practical steps to activate various levers in the purchasing chain:
1) Matchmaking: facilitating contacts between start-ups and public and private buyers at events or matchmaking events tailored to their needs.
2) Training: raising awareness of innovative purchasing among buyers and of public procurement among start-ups.
Mission French Tech and its many partners are working together to offer training courses to major groups, public authorities and start-ups.
– Bpifrance Le Hub is helping purchasing departments to forge new partnerships with French start-ups through its DAPI programme, aimed at large groups. Find out more here .
– Mission French Tech has launched “Je choisis la French Tech Académie”, an online course designed for start-ups to help them win public contracts.
3) Communication: promoting the programme’s players and the successes of start-ups.
